Abstract RU 2032285 C1

FIELD: acceleration equipment. SUBSTANCE: linear resonance accelerator has source 1 of ions, accelerating section 2 coupled to source 4 of HF power and chamber 7 of output of beam of accelerated ions. Energy absorber 5 fitted with means for control over its effective thickness is installed in front of chamber of output of beam. Absorber can be fabricated in the form of set of N plates of equal thickness t or in the form of closed space with holes for flight of accelerated beam provided with means to feed gas into it and to control gas pressure. Insertion of absorber of energy beam with controller of its effective thickness makes it possible to get rid of complex system of automatic control of frequency, phase and amplitude of HF signal and to simplify considerably system of HF supply of accelerator.
