FIELD: acceleration equipment. SUBSTANCE: multichannel linear cavity-type accelerator with HF quadrupole focusing has injector, unit for input of HF power, accelerating system with multiaperture flight-path tubes and has focusing period including N gaps. Two-electrode crossed lenses with n parallel slits in inputs and output electrodes are placed into gaps. Lenses are oriented within limits of each half-period in same way but are turned through 90 deg within each subsequent half-period. Drift tubes have n2 holes uniaxial to formed aperture channels of crossed lenses. EFFECT: reduced losses of particles thanks to creation of focusing rigidity independent of energy of ions and high density of channel packing providing maintenance of constant radius of beam in process of acceleration.
