FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this apparatus incorporates flexible polymer tube to whose distal end portion is attached laser end piece and to proximal end portion is secured end piece cooling connection, light guide routed inside flexible polymer tube and cooling connection. Flexible polymer tube is enclosed in polymer envelope inside which is coaxially disposed spring. Disclosed apparatus further includes flexible polymer guide having lugs at its distal end for centering end piece inside blood vessel space. Guide position fixing member is housing having openings, branch pipe, rubber collar and fixing threaded bushing. EFFECT: excellent means for destroying atherosclerotic formations in blood vessels. 6 dwg
