FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: flywheel engine has housing 1 wherein a flywheel energy accumulator is received. The accumulator is coupled with a drive and constructed as two groups of flywheels interconnected kinematically. Driving flywheel 2 is kinematically coupled with the drive. Accumulating flywheel 3 has a number of shafts. Flywheels 8 are mounted at the ends of each shaft 7. Shafts 7 are horizontal and kinematically interconnected via gears 9. The flywheels of each group are mechanically interconnected in series and have the same speed of rotation. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 2 dwg
