TRAP FOR BOTTOM-DWELLING OBJECTS OF FISHERY Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2033717 C1

FIELD: commercial fishing. SUBSTANCE: trap comprises central section polygonal in plan, provided with intake devices in side walls and upper part, additional sections in the form of truncated pyramids, secured to central section symmetrically between inlet holes with a provision for moving relative to the central section during shooting and heaving-in operations, a catch-scooping device and a shooting and heaving-in means consisting of a set of branch lines made from a material with positive buoyancy with the ends connected to the upper side of the upper base of additional sections. The upper part of the central section is also shaped like a truncated pyramid whose sides are inclined to vertical at 20 deg minimum. The trap ensures efficient catching of objects on broken-rock stretches of the bottom. As the trap is heaved-in the additional sections fold in a manner of flower petals, thus concentrating the catch in the central section. EFFECT: improved design. 4 dwg
