FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of metal working in the process of continuous casting includes feed of liquid metal from casting ladle into vacuum chamber, metal working in the vacuum chamber, metal feed through a separate pipe branch into intermediate ladle and then into crystallizers, as well as metal deoxidizing and alloying in the intermediate ladle. The metal is fed from the vacuum chamber using additional pipe branch, in so doing, once metal level has risen in the intermediate ladle over lower ends of the pipe branches, and the vacuum chamber has sealed by liquid metal, evacuation through circulation is carried out by feeding inert gas in a pipe branch. Metal zone in the intermediate ladle subject to circulation evacuation is separated from deoxidizing and alloying metal zone using, for example, partitions, and concurrently inert gas is fed through intermediate ladle bottom in these zones.
