SUBSTANCE: method is realized by supply of voltage to anode and by formation in interelectrode gap of inhomogeneous ion spatial charge with density profile dropping from cathode to anode either due to generation of ions continuously spread over interelectrode gap with outside ionizer in gas-filled diode or by passing of ion beam through interelectrode gap in vacuum diode.
