FIELD: heavy-current semiconductor equipment, in particular, power supplies of powerful lasers, purification of industrial wastes, power converters. SUBSTANCE: device has input stage which is designed as serial circuit of saturation choke, diode and reverse-direction diode transistor, and serial circuit of thyristor, capacitor and inductance element. In addition device has power supply for starting circuit, which is connected in parallel to capacitor or reverse-direction diode transistor. Anode of thyristor is connected to anode of diode transistor and cathode of diode. Cathode of semiconductor isolation element is connected to first terminal of transistor. Its cathode is connected to first terminal of capacitor. Goal of invention is achieved by use of serial circuit of additional inductance element and winding for demagnetization of saturation choke. Latter winding is introduced between second terminal of capacitor and second terminal of resistor. EFFECT: decreased power losses. 2 dwg
