FIELD: manufacture of polymeric containers. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing precast body of preliminary made mold from amorphous polyethylenephthalate heated at least to softening temperature; placing mold into cooled form to mold intermediate container with sizes exceeding that of container to be manufactured, with mold being cooled to temperature within the range of 5-40 C; heating intermediate container body to 160-240 C for 1-5 min, with container throat being simultaneously heated; cooling under controlled conditions to obtain intermediate container with reduced sizes of body and crystallized throat; providing final sizes of container by working it for 2-6 sec. to obtain ready container, which is thermally stable to relatively rigid conditions. Thermal treatment station of apparatus has second heating device for heating body of intermediate container to 160-240 C and for heating container throat for a period of time providing crystallization of polyethylenephthalate of only throat part of container. Second heating device is provided with unit for slow cooling of container throat. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 14 cl, 6 dwg
