FIELD: pieces surface treatment. SUBSTANCE: treated piece before its entering flux of plasma and after leaving it is blown over by protecting gass stream, that is in parallel to treated surface. In the case, piece is located between beginning of protecting gas stream and its developed part. Apparatus for plasma treatment of piece surface has generator of plasma flux of atmospheric pressure and carrier, provided with piece holder. Generator and carrier are mounted so as to be capable for relative movement or piece enter and leave zone of treatment. Apparatus has protecting gas stream former in the form of branch pipe, connected with source of protecting gas and mounted on carrier with its outlet hole facing piece holder.
