FIELD: ventilation and air conditioning.

SUBSTANCE: method can be used for ventilation of working space of pits, in particular for ventilation of deep funnel-shaped open pits of diamond deposits. During pit ventilation, an upward vortex flow is created by swirling it along the perimeter with streams of ventilation jets, placing ventilation installations around the working zone and directing air flows inside the working zone along a tangent to the circle circumference of the vortex column base. Diameter of the vortex column is controlled by changing the angle of attack of the axes of ventilation installations relative to the vortex column. Rotation speed of the vortex is controlled by changing the efficiency of ventilation installations, and density of air in ventilation flows is reduced by heating or heating and moistening.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of ventilation efficiency of deep open pits by providing control and controllability of vortex air funnel.
