FIELD: devices used in mixing loose materials. SUBSTANCE: mixer is a sloped hopper ( 2-3 deg. more than the angle of natural slope). The hopper is divided into compartments and has its discharge slit (provided with a shutter) at the bottom communicating with all the compartments. The charging and discharging zones are provided with spouts and shovels arranged in a staggered order; the shovels are shaped like truncated pyramids. Each cross row of shovels has its smaller end sections alternately directed upward and downward, with each lateral face of the pyramid always counters the moving flow of mixture. EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality of mixture produced. 4 dwg
