FIELD: plasma processing of materials. SUBSTANCE: plasma generator has nozzle unit, which consists of nozzle 1 and nozzle cover 2, and insulator 3 provided with cathode holder 4 coupled with cathode 5. Nozzle 1 of the plasma generator is dismountable and consists of nozzle housing 6 having opening 7 wherein nozzle tip 8 is received coaxially and without spaced relation. The nozzle tip has axial passage and outer side surface made up as trancated cone 10 diverging in the direction of the nozzle face. The minimal diameter of the opening made in nozzle housing 6 is grater than outer diameter of cathode holder 4. Cathode holder 4 is mounted for permitting movement with respect to nozzle tip 8. A part of the outer surface of nozzle housing 6 is made up as a trancated cone and mated with the nozzle cover over periphery without spaced relation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
