FIELD: optical instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is based upon short-exposure registration of distribution of intensity of sum of focused beams of light radiation and change in relative path difference among them. Short-exposure registration is carried out for N distributions after focusing and summing are completed. Autocorrelation is formed for each distribution. N correlations formed are stored and area is separated in autocorrelation formed being measurable with system spatial resolution element which has maximal power value. Relative path differences of light beams are changed till achieving maximal power value for area separated. EFFECT: improved precision. 1 dwg
