FIELD: sealing of blind branch pipes. SUBSTANCE: device for sealing blind branch pipe has lifting mechanism, sealing unit disposed on lifting mechanism end and lock chamber. Sealing unit is made in form of shaped sealing member located in rigid holder with guides and contacting the branch pipe over generating line of sealing member by means of opposite collets with screw. Shaped sealing member is of T shape. Collets are made in form of spring-loaded tabs secured to boss and installed for sliding over generating line of holder which presents pressing flanges.
