SHUT-OFF VALVE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: tight shutting-off of pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: hinged shut-off member is engageable with seat mounted in body and is connected with spindle of drive by means of hinge-slider. Body consists of two halves with flanges. Sectional shut-off member consists of disk equipped with cylindrical latches, bearing and hold-down member made in form of flange with skirt. Skirt is provided with L-shaped grooves located at angle to end surface of disk for tightly keeping the disk to seat by means of cylindrical latches received by above-mentioned slots. Outer race is located between flanges of body. Hinge-slider is secured on disk and is linked with outer race of bearing. Inner race is split with hold-down member secured on it and worm sector in its lower portion. Additional drive provided with worm is mounted on body in parallel with seat; worm is mounted for engagement with worm sector of hold- down member. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 dwg
