FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: lamp has burner with electrodes filled with mercury, cobalt, iodine zinc and inert (starting) gas. This composition is added with copper under following molar concentrations of ingredients: mercury 3-30 mkmole/cm3; cobalt, copper, zinc 20-600 hmole/cm3 each. Relation of molar concentration of monatomic iodine to sum of molar concentrations of cobalt, copper, zinc amounts from 1.5 to 2.5, molar relation of cobalt to copper and zinc is from 0.3 to 3.0.
