The obtained suspension of amorphous titanium dioxide is heated to a temperature of 60 to 80 C and kept at this temperature for 0.5 to 1 h, then aqueous solution of barium hydroxide at a concentration of 7 to 10 mass percent, whose amount provides ratio Ba Ti in the mixture within 1.05 to 1.15 is introduced. The mixture is heated to a temperature of 80 to 90 C and kept at this temperature for 1 to 2 h at constant agitation. The obtained sediment is separated and dried. To obtain solid solutions based on barium titanate, one or several alkoxides of metals from the yttrium, zirconium, tantalum, niobium bismuth group (0.0001 to 0.2 mole fractions) are additionally introduced to titanium alkoxide or its solution in butyl alcohol.
