FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: composition of a photocatalytic additive is a composite photocatalytic component for cement thin-layer finishing materials and a method for its production. A composite photocatalytic component for thin-layer finishing materials was obtained from a reaction mixture containing, % by weight: titanium alkoxide 20-30, stabilizer - sorbitan monostearate 15-25, 95% aqueous ethanol solution 55-65, mineral powder - amorphous silica in an amount 10-15% by weight of the reaction mixture. The method for producing a composite photocatalytic component from the above reaction mixture includes homogenization in a stirrer at a speed of 500 rpm and a temperature of 60°C for 25 min of sorbitan monostearate in a 95% aqueous solution of ethanol, adding titanium alkoxide, mineral powder - amorphous silica to the resulting solution and stirring for 90-120 min, drying at a temperature of 115°C to constant weight, kilning at 550°C for 30-120 min.

EFFECT: obtaining a composite photocatalytic component with a high, at least 20%, content of titanium dioxide, which, when introduced into the composition of cement thin-layer finishing materials, gives them photocatalytic properties that ensure effective self-cleaning of the surface.
