FIELD: technology of production of inorganic substances.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preparation of starting solutions of barium chloride, titanium tetrachloride and oxalic acid followed by mixing these solutions, filtering the suspension, separating the mother liquor from sediment of barium titanyl oxalate, washing, drying and calcination of this sediment and neutralization and decontamination of mother liquors and technological water. Titanium tetrachloride solution is prepared by pouring starting titanium tetrachloride in oxalic acid solution at concentration of 0.4-1.0 mole/cu dm at continuous mixing till mole ratio of TiCl4 :H2C2O4 =1 :(2.2-2.4). Then titanyl oxalic acid solution is kept for 4-6 h and is mixed with barium chloride solution at initial concentration of 0.4-1.0 mole/cu dm. Solutions are mixed at temperature of 10-30 C and final mole ratio of TCl4:BaCl2= 1 : (1.02-1.08). Suspension thus formed is kept for 2-4 h and is settled afterwards. Then clarified solution is drained and is directed for decontamination and utilization; thickened part of suspension is repulped at mixing with desalted water and is settled. Then, sediment is separated from flushing water by decantation and filtration.
EFFECT: reproduction of properties, composition and quality of product.
