FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method to manufacture titanate of bivalent metal implies treatment of a titanium compound solution resulting in titanium-containing precipitate formation, isolation of the precipitate, washing and suspending of the precipitate, treatment of the suspension with bivalent metal compound at elevated рН and temperature, resulting in bivalent metal titanate formation, washing and heat treatment thereof. Titanium compound solution is treated by adding it to ammonium hydroxide solution, taken in amount, which provides for at least рН 12. This treatment results in ammonium titanate precipitation. Ammonium titanate is washed with ammonium hydroxide solution, bivalent metal titanate is isolated at elevated temperature.
EFFECT: improvement in technological effectiveness of nanopowder production due to less process duration and material flow, together with high dispersibility of powders obtained.
