FIELD: recovering manganese from ores. SUBSTANCE: leaching is made using ammonia as reducing agent for sulfite/bisulfite solutions. Ammonia is a product of trapping gases of sulfuric acid production containing 0.51 1.52 mol/l sulfur dioxide at Ph ≅ 3,0.
