FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, hydrometallurgical processing of molybdenum-containing ores. SUBSTANCE: ore is subjected to wet grinding to produce slurry that is directed for acid treatment in-series connected stirrers. Next slurry is subjected to leaching in presence of manganese compounds to divide bulk of slurry into individual process flows. Sulfuric acid is added to primary process flow, followed by combining individual slurry flows into single combined one having Sulfuric acid content of 5-15 g/cu.dm. Oxygen-containing nitrogen compounds in oxidized form are fed in metered manner into primary process flow so as to maintain its redox potential within range 0.63-0.73 V, thereby ensuring minimum residual molybdenum content in solid phase of leached-out slurry. EFFECT: higher molybdenum recovery. 1 tbl
