PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING INACTIVATED VACCINE USED AGAINST VIRAL HEMORRHAGIC DISEASES OF RABBITS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2039570 C1

FIELD: bioengineering; veterinary. SUBSTANCE: essence of this method resides in using 20 to 25-percent suspension of livers of rabbits died from infection caused by virulent hemorrhagic disease (buffered physiologic salt solution, pH value: 7.2 to 7.4), inactivating virus stock by using 1,8,3,6-diendomethylene-1,3,6,8-tetraazotricyclodecane (A-24) at rate of 1 g of preparation per 1000 ml of stock, using 1 part of chloroform per 5 parts of virus-containing suspension for freeing stock of cellular detritus, stabilizing stock with use of 5-percent mixture of lactose and peptone dissolved in buffer solution (pH value: 7.2 to 7.4), taken in equal proportions and admixed with inactivated suspension of liver (1:2), carrying out lyophilization after freezing at temperature of minus 45 to 50 C during 10 to 12 h, standing stock at temperature of minus 45 to 0 C during 22 to 24 h and vacuum of 11.0 to 15.0 Pascals, bringing temperature to point of 18 to 20 C during 3 to 4 h, and drying resultant material during 2 to 3 h. EFFECT: more sophisticated technique. 3 tbl
