FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: wear-resistant cast iron contains 4.1-4.6% by weight of carbon, 4.0-9.0% by weight of manganese, 0.5-1.0% by weight of silicium, 0.5-1.2% by weight of vanadium, 1.3-2.0% by weight of aluminum, 0.01-0.05% by weight of calcium, 0.03-0.07% by weight of cerium, and iron the balance. Structure of wear-resistant cast iron has metastable austenite metal matrix and (Fe,Mn)(Fe, Mn)3C C and VC-type carbides. Metastable austenite undergoes transformation into deformation martensite and emissions of dispersed carbides occur in the process of impact-abrasive actions in surface layer, to provide for further self-strengthening and increase in wear-resistance. Austenite metal base enhances impact toughness. EFFECT: increased service life of parts made from this metal and adapted for working under impact-abrasive wear conditions. 1 tbl
