FIELD: inertial navigation systems. SUBSTANCE: fiber-optic gyro has radiation source, beam splitter, the first sensitive element, modulator; all the units are conjugated optically. Gyro also has signal conversion system which has photodetector and system for processing signal from the photodetector. The second sensitive element is introduced into the gyro. Both sensitive elements are made in form of N layers, any of which has to be Archimedean spiral. All N layers are connected together. The first and the second sensitive elements are disposed at inverse perpendicular planes. The modulator is disposed at the cross-line of the planes. The photodetector is quadrant-position one. Outputs of the first and the third quadrants, as well as outputs II and IY have a bridge circuit connection. Output of the first sensitive element is conjugated with inputs of the first and the third quadrants. Output of the second sensitive element is conjugated optically with inputs of the second and the fourth quadrants. Number of N layers is chosen from N=1, 2, 3, 4.n series. EFFECT: improved reliability of operation; improved efficiency. 3 dwg
