FIELD: electrochemical water treatment. SUBSTANCE: device uses a cylindrical vessel with a cover, a fixture for attachment of the diaphragm, which carries the cone-shaped diaphragm and electrodes; the fixture for diaphragm attachment is made in the form of two cone- shaped sleeves inserted in each other, the sleeves have perforated side surfaces and made of dielectric material, the height of the sleeves equals the height of the vessel. The base of the external sleeve is secured in a seat on the vessel bottom with the aid of two gaskets. The diaphragm is freely positioned on the internal surface of the external sleeve and is held down to it with the internal sleeve. The cylindrical coaxial electrodes of the device are secured on the cover in such a way that when the cover is closed one of the electrode is positioned inside the perforated sleeves, and the other is positioned outside; the hollow cover is furnished with a power source whose poles are connected to the electrodes. The cover, in the point of contact with the casing walls, carries contact mechanisms connected to the power source limit switches. Besides, coaxial perforation of the casings makes up 45 to 55% of their surface. EFFECT: wide field of application. 3 cl, 1 dwg
