FIELD: microbiology. SUBSTANCE: spleen of mammal is ground and mixed with water at mass ratio 1:1.5. The process is followed by hydrolysis which takes place within 5-6 days at 37-39 C and pH 7.6-8.0 in the presence of chloroform and 15-20 vol of pancreas from the same type of mammal. Thus prepared biomass is heated at 90 C within 5-10 min. Then high molecular weight compounds are precipitated, preparation being filtered and dried. Proposed culture medium contains (g/l): fermentative hydrolyzate of mammal spleen having concentration of amine nitrogen 100-140 mg 20.0-25.0, sodium chloride 4.5-5.0, agar 0.65-0.70. Said medium also contains distilled water, its quantity being up to 1 l. EFFECT: improves quality of culture medium.
