FIELD: production of beryllium hydroxide. SUBSTANCE: method involves melting concentrate with alkaline fluxes and metal beryllium-bearing wastes, with carbonic reducer in an amount of 5-30% of concentrate weight and black iron oxide in an amount of 1-3% of concentrate weight being introduced into burden; pelletizing melt in water; grinding; subjecting to magnetic separation; separating magnetic fraction; sulfatizing non-magnetic fraction by sulfuric acid and water leaching; precipitating beryllium hydroxide.
