FIELD: microwave devices. SUBSTANCE: electron gun has anode, focusing electrode, and cathode assembly in the form of ring whose inner surface is coated with secondary-emission material and whose radius increases towards anode. Filamentary thermionic cathode or autocathode is mounted inside ring.
