FIELD: plastics. SUBSTANCE: synthesis of bromo-containing epoxy resin is carried out by interaction of epoxy diane resin (content of epoxy group is 16% not less) and tetrabromodiphenylolpropane in the medium of organic solvent. Components were heated up to 60 C at stirring, and catalyst Mannich polyacid base, iron or cobalt acetylacetonate were added. Then temperature is raised up to 115 C, and process is carried out for 6 h up to epoxy resin preparing with bromine content 20% (not less) and conversion by tetrabromodiphenylolpropane 93% (not less). Mass ratio of resin, tetrabromodiphenylolpropane, Mannich polyacid base and iron or cobalt acetylacetonate and solvent is (50-56):(29.2-33.3):(0.02-0.08):(0.02-0.03):(14.6-16.7), respectively.
