FIELD: production of sheets from polymeric materials. SUBSTANCE: sheet material is pulled out in lateral direction between mutually engaged shafts. The shafts have annular or spiral-shaped grooves onto their surfaces. Side walls of the groove are sloped to outside relatively the vertex. Parts of adjacent side walls are parallel one to another. Vertexes of adjacent grooves are moved apart less than for 3 mm. General length of the shaft equals to 50 cm or more. Sheet is pulled out by Vertexes of grooves and compressed by side walls by means of compressing shafts one against another with pressure of 17 kg for 1 cm of shaft length or more. Then folded sheet is pulled out in longitudinal direction to remove folds. The sheet produced may be pulled out later in lateral direction by means of grooved shafts.
