FIELD: regeneration of carbon. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating polluted activated carbon with a stream of flue gases to 500-600 C at the temperature rise rate of 15-25 C/min, cooling it and treating with a stream of water steam at a consumption rate of 5-15 kg per 1 kg of activated carbon when it is heated to 800-950 C at the temperature rise rate of 2-10 C/min.
