FIELD: chemical processing of forest products. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing, pyrolysis chamber positioned in casing and having inlet, outlet and discharge branch pipes, fan, circulation pipeline. Apparatus is further provided with vessel containing liquid gas, which is chemically inert at high temperatures. Vessel is communicated with circulation pipeline through reducing valve mounted on connection line. Discharge branch pipe has pipeline carrying switching cock with safety valve positioned on water vapor intake line and return valve on gas-vapor mixture and pyrolysis gas line. EFFECT: increased efficiency by accelerated wood coal production process and compensated pressure difference in pyrolysis chamber. 1 dwg
