PROTECTIVE COMPOSITION APPLYING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2152267 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering and wood-working industry, in particular, atomization of aqueous-waxy corrosion, ageing, damage inhibitors on surfaces of products stored in open warehouses, under sheds, in unheated rooms. SUBSTANCE: apparatus used as thermostat for tank with protective composition has heat-carrier vessel and heating member positioned under tank bottom, circulation pipeline, safety valve, pressure sensor positioned in pump pressure line, homogenizer, composition circulation rate counter and process sequence control unit. Control unit inputs are connected to temperature-control device, pressure sensor, homogenizer and composition circulation rate counter, and control unit outputs are connected to control inputs of heating member, pump drive, flow distributor, homogenizer and locking members. Safety valve is switched to pump bypass line. Pump suction line is connected via first lock valve to heat-carrier vessel or discharge branch pipe of tank for protective composition. Pump pressure line is connected via normally open channel of flow changeover device to gun-atomizer, and via normally closed channel of flow-changeover device to circulation pipeline, where homogenizer, composition circulation rate counter and second lock valve are arranged in series. Inlet branch pipe may be positioned tangentially to tank. Perforated partition wall may be spaced from bottom by distance equal to 0.30-0.35 of tank height. Novel units, such as homogenizer, pressure sensor, composition circulation rate counter, process sequence control unit, combined with units of known construction, such as tank, heater, pump, flow distributor, temperature control device, allow composition to be prepared in situ. EFFECT: uniform thickness of coating despite time and terms of storage of aqueous-waxy composition, wider range of usages and improved quality of coating. 2 cl, 4 dwg, 3 tbl
