FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has chambers separated one from another and two-channeled cannula which first channel is joined with the first chamber made as rigid hollow cylinders and the second channel is attached to the flexible balloon placed inside the rigid hollow cylinder by means of a flexible tube. The two-channeled cannula has coaxially aligned channels one of which is directly connected with the rigid hollow cylindric cavity and the second one is connected with the flexible balloon by means of flexible tube. The rigid hollow cylindric cavity communicates with environment through an additional flexible tube. Protrusions are made on the surface of the rigid hollow cylinder under the flexible tubes for pressing the flexible tubes with fingers to regulate the irrigation and aspiration modes in the course of removing cataractous mass. To fill the flexible balloon with irrigation liquid and to prepare the device for being used and, when necessary, to repeatedly fill the flexible balloon with irrigation fluid to continue the operation, a self-sealing stamp made from flexible material is mounted on the flat end face of the rigid hollow cylinder. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in performing extracapsular cataract extraction. 5 cl, 2 dwg
