FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology, preparation of biologically active substances. SUBSTANCE: a biomass of CHLORELLA microalga is extracted with an organic solvent to isolate a lipid-pigment complex. The remaining biomass is subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis with enzymes of cellulolytic and preteolytic activities, heat treated to inactivate the enzymes and the protein hydrolysate is separated in the form of an aqueous phase. The remaining biomass which is not a cell destructate may be used as a protein additive for the preparation of animal feed. The process makes it possible to extract biologically active substances from the biomass of CHLORELLA microalga and to obtain several products for different purposes.
