FIELD: geophysics; electric exploration in field conditions, such as transient processes in presence of supermagnetic properties of medium under analysis. SUBSTANCE: method involves excitation of field profile in desired points by generator loop. Electromotive force of transient process is measured at each point by non-grounded metering loop placed coaxially in respect to generator loop. Then measurement is repeated by loop shifted from center of generator loop through distance not less than generator loop length. Results of these measurements are used for constructing curve of apparent longitudinal conductance or apparent resistance. Generalized curve is drawn so that left-hand branch of this curve corresponds to that of curve constructed by using data obtained by measuring with aid of coaxial set, and right- hand branch corresponds to that of curve built by using data obtained by measuring with spaced set. Geological column is determined by means of these curves. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 2 dwg
