FIELD: mapping of deposits of mineral resources including oil and gas fields covered by concealed cover of halogen formations, frozen rocks, sea water. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic field is excited by vertical line which electrode is grounded at well head and which second electrode is placed into well. Magnetic components of electromagnetic field are measured along selected profiles at preset height from day surface of the Earth in sequence with positioning of second electrode in well above and below deposit.
