FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method of photosedimentation analysis of dispersity of powder materials of homogeneous matter composition consists in passage of beam of rays of cylindrical shape first through unloaded dish and in measurement of initial value of photocurrent created by unscattered ray passed through unloaded dish. Setting value of relative methodical error Δν/ν one determines value H. Then beam of rays is arranged so that its axis is at depth H from surface of suspension. Dish is loaded with suspension and time interval t during which optical density of suspension of dispersed particles of powder remains constant from moment of start of sedimentation is measured as well as relative optical density D(t)_ of suspension at t> τ. By Stokes formula radius rm of largest particles of powder is found. By rate of change of relative optical density vd at t>τ density n(r) of distribution of particles of powder as function of radius, density μ(r) of distribution of mass of powder, average value of radius <r>, average value of squared radius <r2> and standard deviation Δ are determined. To accelerate analysis step-by-step scanning of beam of rays is conducted. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and authenticity of analysis. 3 cl, 1 dwg
