FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: wear-resistant coating is composed of basic metal comprising disperse phase particles uniformly dispersed in basic metal, said particles having increased wear resistance as compared to basic metal. Sizes and volumetric content of disperse phase particles in coating are determined from formula: where df is average diameter of disperse phase particles; r is radius of microroughnesses of contacting surfaces; Kv is coefficient; v and Δ are roughness characteristics; Kw volumetric content of disperse phase particles in coating; Q is elastic constant of metal of surface to be joined to; Pa is nominal pressure; Pc is contour pressure; Pr is actual pressure. Coating of such structure may be used for increasing service life of machine parts, instruments and tools. EFFECT: provision for increased wear-resistance combined with reduced content of disperse phase in coating, reduced cost for manufacture of wear-resistant coatings. 1 dwg
