FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: sorbent contains activated carbon in the occluded state in secondary pores of natural aluminum silicate sorbent with the following ratios of the ingredients (mass): natural aluminum silicate 50-90 and activated carbon 10-50. The sorbent is produced by the method of pyrolysis of combustible material in the presence of a heat-resistant porous aluminum silicate carrier agent at 550-1,050 C. The sorbent is modified by way of treatment with aqueous solutions of mineral acids, salts, or alkali (concentration 1-10 mass). The effective radius of pores of the sorbent is , and its Y- butane specific surface is 1000-3000 m2/g.. EFFECT: simpler method; higher efficiency. 5 cl, 1 tbl
