FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gaseous- discharge device containing barium vapors as additive is composed of two spaces: internal high-temperature one carrying source of barium vapors and system of working electrodes and insulators stable in barium vapors and external sealed one containing case and insulators arranged beyond the line-of shift distance relative to points of unsealed internal space. Value of loss of tightness does not exceed level providing molecular regime of outflow of barium. As a result barium condensates on surface of external case and does not foul insulators. If temperature of external case is high, that is pressure of barium vapors exceeds value permissible for stability of insulators then barium sorbent is placed in path of outflowing barium.
