FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: heat treatment tube converter of thermal energy into electric one comprises in a vacuum volume two metal electrodes, between which there is an aligned pyrolytic graphite in the form of an orifice with a central cavity connected with a source of a caesium vapour, the C-axis of the graphite is directed perpendicularly to carbon layers of the graphite with atoms of caesium and barium intercalated between graphite layers, a heater connected with electrodes via an insulator and a bellows unit, and a circuit with a load. All graphite layers are intercalated with barium atoms to the composition of C6Ba, and the source of caesium vapour is connected with the vacuum volume and the central cavity in the graphite with the help of a V-shaped nozzle, both elbows of which are equipped with electric heaters.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of a heat treatment tube converter, namely, electric conductivity along the C-axis of graphite due to improvement of material quality.
