FIELD: casting of metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves casting and feeding strip-substrate into bath with melt by vacuumized rotating roll with gas-tight rim, with roll being partially dipped into bath with melt so that strip-substrate is frozen onto rotating roll; removing strip-substrate from roll in the vicinity of melt surface or melt depth; providing displacement of strip-substrate in melt and freezing on of metal; removal of strip-substrate from bath.
