FIELD: accelerators. SUBSTANCE: method involves injection of electrons into area where radial-symmetrical controlled magnetic field is increased in time. In axial direction this area is limited by areas of magnetic locks. In area between magnetic locks additional radial-symmetrical magnetic field is decreased in time. Direction of this additional magnetic field is opposite and coaxial to control magnetic field. Device for acceleration of electrons in cylindrical induction accelerator has central insertions, pole pieces and divided magnetizing winding. Elements with active resistance are connected in parallel to central sections of windings. This results in possibility to increase number of electrons, which are accelerated in one cycle and to increase efficiency of accelerator.
