FIELD: hydrometallurgy of lithium. SUBSTANCE: lithium is extracted, using stepped-counterflow movement of contacting phases in sorption-desorption device with closed cycle of sorbent LiCl·2Al(OH)3·nH2O motion, providing sorbent presence in zone of sorption within 4.5 5 hours and within 3.0 4.0 hours in zone of desorption. Before desorption additional saturation of uniformly saturated with lithium sorbent is exercised in zone of sorption using its stepped-counterflow contact with upcoming stream of lithium chloride solution with concentration of 2.0 2.5 g/l with phases contact duration in zone of additional saturation 1.75 2.35 hours. In the case, simultaneously with sorbent additional saturation with lithium sorbent granules washing from impurities is exercised, for example, from magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium by the same upcoming stream of lithium chloride solution.
