FIELD: laser detection and ranging. SUBSTANCE: image of object is formed in passive mode through non-excited active medium of laser, then angular sizes of object image are determined, flux of radiation from object image is provided into partial light fluxes which are compared by power and direction and partial light flux of maximum power is selected as direction to most bright point of object; generation of laser radiation is effected in partial light flux of maximum power. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of setting laser radiation on object. 1 dwg
