FIELD: wood-and-pulp industry. SUBSTANCE: essence of this invention resides in that working member 4 is activated (imparted rotary motion) and pressed against working member 3 to dehydrate paper length which is conveyed on woolen cloth 2 and allowed to pass between working members. This method prescribes building up vacuum in working member 3 using means 6 and at the same time creating excess pressure of gaseous (liquid) medium in working member 4 with the help of means 8 and applying gaseous or liquid medium to paper length through transparent screen 7 to make up boundary cushion in between working member and paper length.
