FIELD: machinery and equipment for wood-pulp and paper industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to continuous replacement of liquid in flowing fibrous suspension for use in wood-pulp and paper industry and other activities. According to method, fibrous suspension is delivered under pressure to liquid displacement zone. Extracting or washing liquid is delivered under pressure which is higher than pressure of fibrous suspension to zone of displacing liquid phase from suspension. Filtrate and treated fibrous suspensions are branched away. Fibrous suspension undergoing treatment receives continuous rotating motion. With that, angular velocity of rotation is selected from condition of retaining uniform concentration of fibrous suspension. Device for continuous extraction of liquid from fibrous suspension incorporates housing for axial delivery of suspension flow with inlet and outlet pipe connections, filter element, unit for discharge of treated fibrous suspension, and unit for delivery of washing liquid. Filter element is installed in housing with possibility for rotation and is provided with drive unit. It has filtrate discharge opening. Filter element is also provided with additional concentrically installed sieve made with upper tapered shell and lower tapered shell and with longitudinal ribs arranged between filter element and additional sieve. Aforesaid method and device prevent formation of sediment on surface of filter element. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
